What it's like at Vila Mara
At 1,445 m, about 60 m from the gondola and the floodlit drag lift 3. From Petroșani or Târgu Jiu, follow the signs to Lupeni, then to Straja up the fully surfaced road (about 7 km). You can also leave the car in the guarded car park at the Brăița leisure area and take the gondola. From the gondola, walk up the main road for about 60 m and look for the big Vila Mara sign on the left.
